Day one and I cannot be more impressed. I’m a coffee fanatic and this is coffee heaven. No more waiting in long lines at cafes where pouty “coffeeiaticians” with pierced noses and tattooed eyebrows take their time yawning for 15 minutes between each customer until it’s your turn for them to glare at you in disgust because you’ve ruined their day just because you wanted a cup of coffee.
I was a little apprehensive about this making an espresso that would be up to my expectations after years of haunting fancy coffee shops, but it totally does. This Pixie can not compete with the large espresso/cappuccino makers but makes a fantastic cup of coffee. In addition, the availability of numerous types of coffee pods, allows this little guy to add variety to the daily otherwise routine coffee. It is easy to operate, fast and cleans up well. I still use the large cappuccino maker for my morning fix, but my wife uses the Pixie with different pods a couple of times a day. I have tried some of the pods with frothed milk, and they came very close to the big machine’s cappuccino.
